Current cost: 80 Robux per submission

How much does it cost to upload a Roblox shirt?

Roblox charges 80 Robux each time you submit a classic T-shirt, shirt, or pants item to the Marketplace. If you later publish a non-limited classic clothing item for sale, the current publishing advance is 10 Robux.

Three separate stages

What you pay, and when

You do not pay 90 Robux at upload. The 10 Robux advance is a later, optional selling step.

  1. 01

    Before upload

    Free

    Test in Roblox Studio

Check how the shirt fits before you spend Robux. Studio testing has no upload fee.

  2. 02

    When you submit

    80 Robux

    Pay the upload fee

The fee applies to each Marketplace submission, including a corrected upload after a rejection.

  3. 03

    Only if you sell it

    10 Robux

    Pay the publishing advance

This separate advance applies after approval when you publish a non-limited classic clothing item for sale.

Understand the charges before you submit

The upload fee, selling advance, and moderation wait happen at different times.

Know which payment you are seeing

The 80 Robux upload fee pays for one submission to Marketplace moderation. Roblox generally does not refund this fee when an item is rejected.

The 10 Robux publishing advance is a separate upfront payment for placing an approved non-limited classic clothing item on sale. Roblox describes publishing advances as refundable through rebates from eligible sales.

Account verification is required

To upload an avatar asset to the Marketplace, Roblox requires verification through your own government ID or through a linked parental account that has government ID verification.

What you may pay for one classic shirt

Prepare 80 Robux to submit the shirt. If it passes moderation and you choose to publish it for sale as a non-limited item, prepare the separate 10 Robux publishing advance.

  • Testing only in Studio: 0 Robux.
  • One Marketplace submission: 80 Robux.
  • Publishing an approved non-limited classic shirt for sale: 10 Robux publishing advance.

Before paying

Check the shirt in this order

  1. 1

    Test the design for free

Put the clothing on a block avatar in Studio and check the front, back, sides, sleeves, and seams before submitting it.

  2. 2

    Confirm your account is eligible

Make sure the account has government ID verification or is connected to a verified parental account.

  3. 3

Check the file and item type

Use the correct classic clothing template, keep its dimensions unchanged, and select T-Shirt, Shirt, or Pants to match the file.

  4. 4

    Review the name and description

Remove misleading claims or policy-sensitive wording and make sure the image follows Marketplace Policy.

  5. 5

    Submit only when ready

Pay 80 Robux for the submission. A rejection generally does not return the upload fee, so fix every known issue before trying again.

  6. 6

    Wait for moderation

Review can take up to 24 hours. A pending item does not need another paid upload just because approval is not immediate.

  7. 7

Publish after approval if you want to sell

For a non-limited classic T-shirt, shirt, or pants item, the current publishing advance is 10 Robux.

Final paid-upload check

  • I tested the clothing on an avatar in Studio for free.
  • My account meets Roblox Marketplace verification requirements.
  • The image uses the correct template, dimensions, and file type.
  • The selected asset type matches the clothing I made.
  • The image, title, and description follow Roblox Marketplace Policy.
  • I have 80 Robux available for this submission.
  • I understand that a rejected submission generally does not receive an upload-fee refund.
  • I will allow up to 24 hours for moderation before deciding there is a problem.
